We both have always dreamt of being a father one day. Even as a teenager, Justin often babysat for his cousins and taught his nieces and nephews math and poetry. Steven also enjoys seeing his cousin's and friends' kids and keeping them entertained. He is the most gentle and sweetest person to children, and he can spoil them with healthy snacks, toys, and video games.
We are in our early forties, and the desire to have our own kids has grown stronger every day. Experiencing the pain of losing close family members during COVID and seeing parents getting older and older make us desire that even more. Our parents also hope to spend more quality time with their grandchildren in the next 5-10 years.

In 2021, we partnered with Circle and Boston IVF to begin our family-building journey. With the incredible generosity of a wonderful egg donor and the unwavering dedication of our amazing surrogate, Ashley, our dream finally came true—we welcomed our daughter after four years of hope and perseverance. No words can fully capture our gratitude, and we are forever thankful for their kindness, selflessness, and sacrifices.
Ashley was everything we could have hoped for in a surrogate—dedicated, responsible, understanding, and deeply considerate. We feel so fortunate to have gotten to know her beautiful family, to share stories and updates, and to treasure the memories we created together. What grew between us was more than a partnership; it was a strong commitment and friendship built on authenticity, transparency, open communication, mutual respect, and genuine trust. It is that same spirit of connection and commitment that we hope to find in our next journey.

We are so fortunate to have such loving parents as well as supportive extended family and friends. All four of our parents AND our devoted aunties are taking turns helping care for our daughter. They cannot wait to meet the future grandchild(ren), for they all waited so long!
Ever since we shared our desire for parenthood, our friends and colleagues couldn't have been happier for us. They were touched by our love and commitment to each other and our family's closeness and strong bond. We have received a ton of parenting advice and help. Meng, our BFF, saved her son's crib, toys, and baby clothes for our future child. They provide a great deal of comfort and support, helping us along the way.

Our Future
As the only child in both our families, we hope Riley can grow up with a sibling—someone to share a special bond with, create lasting memories alongside, and support each other through life’s journey as we all grow older.
A year or two from now, we will still be in the thick of baby bottles and diaper changes, just as we are today. There will be many sleepless nights, of course, but we will have the loving support of our parents and aunties to help us through. Before long, the kids will be running around the house, shouting Daddy and Papa.
They will have a happy and carefree childhood, as we did growing up, filled with books, toys, and the freedom to explore. We will teach them to read, draw, sing, and dance, and just as importantly, to be kind, polite, independent, and thoughtful. There will be birthday parties, road trips, beach days, and movie nights. It will be okay if they don’t get perfect grades. What matters the most is that they learn to love nature and life, be curious and brave, and discover the world around them.
If we are blessed to have YOU as our Gestational Carrier, YOU will forever hold our deepest gratitude and friendship. We look forward to embarking on this miracle Journey Together with You!!!
